Recharge Salik via the RTA Dubai App

Download the RTA Dubai App

The official app is available free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (search "RTA Dubai"). Only use the verified RTA app published by Roads and Transport Authority — avoid lookalike apps.

Log In or Register

Sign in using your UAE Pass (government digital identity) for the quickest access, or create an RTA account with your Emirates ID and mobile number. First-time registration takes about 3 minutes. Your Salik tag links automatically via your vehicle plate number.

Navigate to Salik Recharge

From the app home screen, tap the Salik tile or go to Vehicles → Salik → Recharge Balance. Your current salik balance and recent passage history display immediately.

Complete Your Salik Recharge

1. Tap Recharge Balance
2. Choose an amount: AED 100, 200, 300, 500, or custom
3. Select payment: saved card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay
4. Tap Confirm — salik recharge completes in seconds
5. Receive SMS and in-app confirmation

Set Up Auto-Recharge

Enable auto-recharge to never run out of salik balance mid-drive. In the Salik section, tap Auto-Recharge Settings, set a trigger balance (e.g., AED 50), and a top-up amount (e.g., AED 200). The system automatically recharges salik whenever your balance falls below the threshold.

Check Salik Passage History

The RTA Dubai app shows a full log of every gate passage — date, time, gate location, and AED 4 deduction for each. Useful for expense reporting or verifying an unexpected charge.
